LET ME HOLD YOUR HAND(CHAPTER-8)

                   STEPING AHEAD TOGETHER

Sarah sat nervously on the couch fidgeting with the hem of her shirt as she waited for Zayn to come home she had been planning this conversation for weeks now , her heart was racing with anticipation and anxiety.

Finally she heard the key turn in the lock and the door creak open Zayn stepped inside his handsome face breaking into a smile when he saw her " hey beautiful" he said. Sarah replied trying to keep her voice steady "i need to talk to you about something, Zayn" .

Sarah took a deep breath and said that she was planning on moving abroad for her studies but she had changed her mind "I want to stay in India with you." Sarah said.

Zayn's eyes widened in surprise "really are you sure?"

Sarah inclined," i have thought about it a lot and i do not want to be apart from you, I love you Zayn i want to be with you ."

Zayn looked torn his brow furrowed in concern but what about your studies you have always been so passionate about them.

" i can also study here " Sarah said firmly "there are plenty of good universities in india and besides i do not want to miss out on being with you".

Zayn looked down his expression thoughtful Sarah could tell he was considering her words carefully after a moment he looked back up at her his eyes shining with emotion "I love you too Sarah he said softly and if being together means staying in India then that's what we will do, I want to be with you no matter where we are."

Sarah's heart swelled with joy and relief. She threw her arms around Zayn, holding him close as they shared a tender hug.

But the conversation wasn't over yet. After a few moments, Zayn pulled back, a determined look on his face.

"You know what?" he said. "I think I'm also deciding to come to your city to pursue my higher education. It'll be a new adventure for us, and we can support each other through it all."

Sarah's eyes widened in surprise and delight. "Really? You'd do that for me?"

"I'd do anything for you," Zayn said, cupping her face in his hands. "I want to be by your side, always."

Tears of happiness welled up in Sarah's eyes. She felt so fortunate to have found someone who loved her so deeply, and who was willing to make such sacrifices for her. Together, they could face anything that life threw their way.

As they settled back onto the couch, holding hands and talking excitedly about their plans for the future, Sarah knew that she had made the right decision. There was nowhere else she'd rather be than right there, with Zayn, by her side.

As Sarah and Zayn were in the middle of their conversation with Zayn, her phone suddenly rang, interrupting their conversation. 

If you don't mind , can attend this call ?" Sarah said asking Zayn's consent.

"Yeah ,sure go."

It was her school time close friend "Nitya" calling. Sarah was little bit anxious because she was calling her after a long time, she picked up the phone and greeted Nitya with a smile, but her expression quickly changed as she listened to Nitya's urgent tone

"Dude, I've a news for you , If there is a chair near you, then sit, because this news gonna startled you tremendously." 

"Don't scare me Nitya, tell me quickly what happened" 

" He's here, in our city."

"He? who is that?"

"Raghav, i saw him just a while ago."

Sarah's mind raced as she tried to process the name she heard, the name she didn't heard for years was echoing all through her ears. She hadn't expected to hear about him after all these years.

After ending the call with Nitya, Sarah excused herself from the table and went outside for some fresh air. She needed a moment to collect her thoughts and process the news. She found herself flooded with memories of her past .

"Are you okay ? Is everything fine ? " Zayn asked holding Sarah's hand.

Sarah turned to Zayn, she couldn't tell anything and a drop of tears fell from her eye on her hands.

"It's okay , if you don't want to tell , just don't." Zayn consoled her.
