SKETCHING AS MY HOBBY
Introduction
Welcome to my blog about Sketching as a hobby! My name is khalid raja, and I’ve always been passionate about art since I was 11 years old. Drawing has become a big part of my life over the years, and it started by me being self-taught in different types of art like making portraits, concept art and more. My favorite type of sketching though comes from creating pictures on paper that are derived from either imagination or existing paintings/photos .Although i am sketching since my childhood but I made my first portrait at the age of 13 .It took me almost 2-3 hours and i copied this art from my father's daily newspaper .

How it became my hobby?
I neither don't have such art family background nor I joined any classes for it. It was my own choice an interest which made it as my primary hobby i can even draw continuously without eating or any time limitations. Earlier it was just a time pass for me but now it has become an important part of my life or you can say way of living life. Growing up, I never had many friends, and my childhood was far from perfect. However, art became a source of solace for me. It was as if I was reborn, and I began to breathe new life. Art allowed me to express my emotions, thoughts, and creativity in a way that I could never do before. It gave me a voice to communicate with the world and share my perspective. Through art, I found a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I had never experienced before. It became my escape, my passion, and my outlet. Art has not only helped me cope with my past, but it has also given me a reason to look forward to the future.
Types of art I prefer to draw
There are various types of sketching techniques that artists use. Some of the most common types of sketching include gesture drawing, contour drawing, perspective drawing, and technical drawing. Gesture drawing captures the movement and overall essence of a subject, while contour drawing is used to create an outline of the subject's shape. Perspective drawing is used to create the illusion of depth and space, while technical drawing is used for precise measurements and technical details.
I can do different type of sketches such as : portraits, concept art, landscape art , calligraphy, comic art.
Portrait sketching is a popular type of sketching that involves capturing the likeness of a person's face through a drawing. Portrait sketches can be done using a variety of mediums, such as pencils, charcoal, or ink. Concept art, on the other hand, is a type of sketching that is used in the video game and film industry. Concept art involves creating visual representations of characters, environments, and other elements for a video game or film. Concept artists often work closely with writers and directors to create a vision for the project that can be used as a reference for the final product. Concept art requires a high level of creativity and imagination, as the artist must create something that does not yet exist. some of my famous works are posted below:
Comic Art is the creation of stylized or simplified drawings for the purpose of telling a story, making a point, or making people laugh.

Landscape painting, also known as landscape art, is the depiction of natural scenery such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests, especially where the main subject is a wide view—with its elements arranged into a coherent composition.

First thing being Proportions/perspective : Focus on body proportions , anatomy study also helps here . Secondly Understanding light source / back light preferences & Draftsmanship understand shape advantage thus creating details correctly shading techniques keeping value scale strongly in consideration together with angles will bring desired result hold closer towards realism. Lastly, observation practice Here observing elements around inspires create accurate proportion hence completing your masterpieces .. So let those pencils glide along fabric board But final masterpiece takes tremendous hard work hours but if dream lies helping turn them true....Happy Sketchng.
